Hope your holidays have been fun? There's still three days left in the year for a memorable 2015 and reflections on what the year has been so you can charge into 2016 with a free and liberating leap.
As you know, I'm a great lover of series/TV Shows. I wrote about it here and even did a review on a show here. Today, I'll be sharing a list of my best TV shows for 2015. This list is specifically based on my the ones I saw this year (Some of them might have started showing years back) and my preferences, so if your favorite show isn't included, please let me apologize in advance...hehe.
I love series because they don't seem to ever end till like two to nine or even 11 years after and you get to see continuous portrayal of the characters' lives. I also do this thing where I analyse each show I watch by myself and try to justify what happened to a character in relation to the whole point of the series itself. Please I'm looking for a partner :) sometimes it gets a bit awkward doing these analyses on your own phew*

Merry Christmas!!!
Oh I can’t explain my
excitement today. I feel like it’s going to be a great day! By the way, I have
nowhere to go today so if you have any Christmas turn up you can invite me to,
I’ll be happy to come :D (that’s probably
why I'm so excited)
This entire year and the past few days for me have
been quite interesting. The highlight of my year was attending the Lagos International Poetry Festival (I'll write a separate post on this) and Titilope Sonuga's Becoming - which was really awesome! On Wednesday, I hung out with a very good friend I hadn't seen in a while and we decided to eat at the Chicken republic at ICM. We
had chicken and even though it was tasty, it was really undone inside. I couldn't finish mine after seeing my friend’s chicken, which was red inside.
We goofed around for a while
because we were waiting for our movie to start and took some pictures while
waiting.
We decided to see the new movie Fifty and it was good! I’ll do a
review on this soon. Oh my God, Dakore Egbuson’s character (Tola) was the best
for me. She was just perfect whenever she’s crazy and even when she’s
emotional. You guys should see the movie. You’ll have some laughs to go! And
oh, you’ll also get to hear Ireti Doyle speak good pidgin and Yoruba.
On Thursday, I was home, so I
decided to see “For Colored Girls” again. I’ll love to do a review on it, but
my heart is still too heavy from watching it. I'm taking my little niece to see
“Father Christmas” on Saturday, so excited!

This year has been Incredible. Lots of great and not-so-great results, but all thanks to God, at least I'm alive enough to try again. I hope you've had an equally interesting year so far? This is
probably one of the oldest questions ever asked, high up with greats like,
‘When is the next rain?’ and ‘What do we have for dinner?’

Fast
forward centuries, past the pounds of salt and mirrors that exchanged hands and
past the entire families traded for gunpowder (it really did look like a good
bargain at the time).
Now? A Nigerian can get as high as 5 Million Naira if he is willing to part with one of his kidneys. In fact, in Pakistan, you can part with both your kidneys. That’s not a bad idea (for many people). Chances are, you’ll get free dialysis.
It sucks,
but hey, people do it.
The point
is, many people seem to have an opinion on what the value of human life is.We have
our opinion too. And
clearly, you are right.
We think your life is priceless.
No, we know your life
is priceless.
Every
day, several lives are lost in Nigeria because of a few pints of blood which
could have saved them but was beyond reach. Sometimes, it is the child who
suffers from illnesses and simply needs those pints to make the difference. Or
a mother who has lost so much blood during labour. Or a young person who is
fighting to stay alive after an accident. Sometimes, it could be complete
strangers. Other times, family and loved ones.
Day by day, these numbers add up to hundreds of thousands, and even millions of
avoidable deaths.
This is
why we have set out to build a place where the priceless gift of life could
really be shared.
We are
raising a community where people who need lifesaving blood will always be
within reach of people who are willing to donate, and share this beautiful gift
